LightHouse Automotive Serves as a Beacon for One Weary Traveler

August 22, 2018

Doc was driving through Colorado Springs while on a road trip when his temperature gauge showed that his truck was running very hot and about to overheat. He wasn't familiar with any local auto repair shops since he's from out of town, so he got his truck to the first one he came across. Fortunately for him, it was LightHouse Automotive . Doc recently shared his experience in a Facebook post.

"LightHouse Automotive truly lives up to their name as a beacon for travelers," Doc writes. "I pulled into Colorado Springs on a 100+ degree day, only to have my temperature gauge spike into the red and the truck started to lose power. Convinced that I had cooked the water pump, I limped the truck into the closest shop I could find. Luckily, it was LightHouse. "

We are glad that Doc found us, as well. We knew he was in a desperate situation, so we were able to get his truck into the shop quickly for a look. It was already close to closing time, but several of the LightHouse Automotive team members stayed behind to help Doc out in his hour of need.

"As it was already close to 5:00, I anticipated having to leave the truck for a day or two, and began trying to figure out how I was going to get around town without it," Doc continues. "Rylan [Blair, owner] pulled Gary [technician] off a brake job to have a look at my truck, and a few minutes later I was relieved to find out that I had just blown a radiator hose. Long story short, Gary and Rylan stayed after hours to fix the problem, and by 6:00 I was back on the road."

Fortunately for Doc, the problem turned out to be a minor fix that didn't take long at all to repair. Rylan and Gary were happy to stay a little longer to help out this weary traveler who needed to get back on the road as soon as possible.

"I cannot tell you how much I appreciate these guys and their outstanding commitment to taking care of their customers," Doc concludes. "Thank you Rylan and Gary!!"

Thank you, Doc, for sharing your story and we are glad you were able to continue your road trip as planned. Whether you are driving through Colorado Springs on vacation or you live locally, you can trust the friendly auto repair experts at LightHouse Automotive for honest service and quality repairs.
