LightHouse Automotive Replaces Faulty Mass Airflow Sensor for Happy Customer

January 9, 2019

mechanic working on engine | LightHouse Automotive

Kerry knew he was in need of numerous automotive repairs for his car, so he brought his vehicle into LightHouse Automotive in Colorado Springs, CO. He wanted to have the experts perform a full inspection to identify any problems and perform the necessary repairs. Kerry recently wrote about his service experience on Google.

"The folks at LightHouse Automotive are amazing," Kerry writes. "Over a period of two days, they diagnosed and fixed many of the major problems I was having with my car."

The inspection process is very important at LightHouse Automotive . The goal is to make sure any and all potential issues are properly identified before specific repair services can be recommended. There may be faulty parts that need to be replaced or more standard maintenance/tune-up services required to get things recalibrated as needed.

Numerous repairs were needed on Kerry's car. Some were urgent and others weren't as much as of a rush, so the LightHouse Automotive team broke down all the recommendations and helped him prioritize what he wanted taken care of first. One of the services was to replace the mass airflow sensor.

A few days after leaving the shop, Kerry's check engine light came on. This is fairly common after major repairs, even when all the sensors are reset. Still, it's always a good idea to have it checked out and reset if needed. Kerry ended up having to take his car into a different shop to run diagnostic tests and it turned out that the new mass airflow sensor wasn't working properly.

At LightHouse Automotive , we always stand behind our work and most parts and labor are backed by the NAPA AutoCare Peace of Mind Warranty (36 months/36,000 miles). Kerry brought his car back into our shop and the faulty part was replaced and recalibrated at no charge to him because it was under warranty. Now, the car is back to running great again.

"Rylan [Blair, owner of LightHouse Automotive] warranties the part and replaced with no questions!" Kerry adds, "I will return to this shop!!!!!"

Thank you for your review, Kerry, and for putting your trust in LightHouse Automotive. Sometimes even new parts can be faulty, which is why we have the warranty program in place to protect our customers.

If you have questions about the NAPA warranty or any auto repair services at LightHouse Automotive , call our shop today at (719) 465-0302 . You can also schedule your next service appointment online if you need repairs or vehicle maintenance.
