Customer Gets Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection at LightHouse Automotive

November 18, 2020

If you are considering the purchase of a used car, always remember that you have the right to get the vehicle inspected by an objective third party. It's the smart thing to do before you commit to buying. If no problems are found, it gives you extra peace of mind. If there are issues, you will be able to make better purchase decisions. Even if you still decide to buy the car, you'll know exactly what work it needs and that can also help with your negotiations.

We perform pre-purchase inspections all the time at LightHouse Automotive . Used vehicle buyers know they can count on us for an unbiased opinion and thorough inspection report. We recently had a customer named Cole come into the shop for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. Here's what he had to say about his experience:

"Had a pre-purchase inspection for a used vehicle I was thinking of purchasing," Cole says. "In addition to a full inspection, they also offered to hose down the car's aftermarket sunroof to see if it leaked (which it did)."

For the most part, the car Cole was looking to buy was in solid shape. The LightHouse Automotive  technicians were able to note a few things that they recommended and then a full bumper-to-bumper inspection report was provided to the customer. We're not here to tell you whether or not you should buy the car (unless it's a real lemon!). We want to give you all the information and insight you need to know to make your own purchase decision.

One of the concerns that Cole had with this particular car was the aftermarket sunroof that had been installed. These are notoriously problematic, so we offered to test it for leaks as part of the inspection. Thankfully we did because it did have a leak and that was important for Cole to know before he decided if he wanted to purchase the vehicle or not.

"I appreciated their commitment to going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of," Cole adds.

Cole, we were happy to help by providing the thorough pre-purchase inspection. We hope it gave you the info you needed to make a smart purchase decision.

If you are thinking about buying a used car or you just want a full inspection of your current vehicle, call LightHouse Automotive today at (719) 465-0302 or book your appointment online. We'll provide any vehicle inspection services you need!
